But anyway, now that we've had our commercial break, I have something else important to share with you all! As you may know, I managed to weasel my way into the Havenwell Archives recently. Completely legally, I promise! But boy are they careful about who gets in . . . so it's only right that I share my findings for the sake of everyone who can't wiggle in so easily, hmm? I didn't have as much time as I'd like, but I did manage to document what I had time for. You can read it for yourself, see?

Most living things have a lot of sympathy for anything that's on their side, not the side of the dead. But the fact is that the Crawling One was here first. People also get pretty mad if you use your power to trample on their wills, even if you think you're doing right by them.

[There it is, the life lesson he had to learn himself, years ago at this point. You don't get to just go be Everyone's Benevolent Ruler without asking them first. As it turns out, they get mad about it!]

But I think this is something to think about. First I'll ask the natives for a little more information about how offerings work. We might run into an issue if, just for example, I can only give offerings to Diacht because I'm under his patronage, and I can't contribute to any other god's blessings. We'd need to do some serious math in that case! But if any of us can make an offering to any god, we can organize that.
