My thoughts exactly. I think we would do well to review the zoo for any arachnids whose genetic code might be similar to these ones, before the mutation. Maybe they already have of a pre-toxin specimen here, and we couldn't tell! [ Which, she will do. ]
I also find it curious that the toxin only produces the symptoms of an illness, but doesn't lead to a mutation. Perhaps it's a matter of amount of exposure.
