A new arrival, are you? Well, I suppose a little company wouldn’t hurt. My name is Dorothy Pratt – I currently live by myself and have plenty of space. If you’d like to meet up to discuss, I’d be happy to.

[ True to her word, Meg shows up on the doorstep of one Dorothy Pratt about 15 minutes later. She hesitates only a moment before knocking - quietly hoping she's not going to just scare her away immediately with her whole "righteous fury of the gods" aesthetic. ]

[For better or for worse, it takes a lot to truly scare off Dorothy Pratt. She did, however, have her own reservations about her appearance. Would she come across as too old-fashioned to this stranger? Ahh, perhaps she should go find some modern clothes...

But never mind that! The guest is here! She opens the door and immediately lets out a little gasp in spite of herself. Before her stood a woman, tall and sculpted, with blue-tinted skin and an intense aura. A bit like a clay man, Dot muses, though simultaneously acknowledging that doesn’t really do her stark beauty any credit.

It would seem they’d have plenty to talk about. With that thought, the surprise gives way a soft smile.]

Good afternoon! Chilly out today, isn’t it? [She steps aside and beckons Meg in.]

[ Truthfully, Dorothy is still more up to date with modern trends than the mortals Meg is used to - really it just registers as "different" in her eyes. And to be fair, everything in Havenwell was registering as "different".

The gasp doesn't go unnoticed, but she doesn't mind really. It's better than "Oh god what have I gotten myself into". Besides, she can see rather plainly by the smile on Dorothy's face afterwards that it's neither a hostile or voluntary reaction. ]

Is it usually warmer? [ Meg nods in appreciation, stepping past her into the home. ] I'll be honest, I don't get out often enough to know.

I’m told this is fairly normal for this time of year here, though it’s colder now than it’s been the past few days. [Dot closes the door and follows behind Meg.] There was actually a freak heatwave going on when I first arrived here. Quite the contrast!

[She swiftly leads her guest to a mid-sized dining table with a few chairs placed around it - the same standard-issue decor in all of the free housing. Simple and serviceable.] Would you care for some tea?
