I did not mean it in that way, but in the sense that souls are made of energy. Souls are clearly a key element to providing the energy the gods here need as there has yet to be a soulless offworlder brought here.
I am intimately familiar with division between belief systems. Generally, however, there is at least one notable incident to cause such a distinct division within a single city. My inquiries have been met with resistance that I chose not to push against, though perhaps I will begin to dig more deeply into Havenwell's history again.
