[Kai kinda figured he'd never actually use the 'post' function of the network, but desperate times and all that. He knew there were, like, wizards and shit in Havenwell so maybe someone could drop some advice his way.

So here he was on screen, frowning a little like usual. There's a little hand lift.]


Hey. I dunno if this kinda thing is widespread like some other stuff, but-- well. I've been kinda buzzing lately? Like electrically. See--


[There was a little zip zap around his fingers as he gave them a snap, turning his lights off. This seemed to be a poor idea though, because it was quickly followed by a POP and some sparks from off-camera. There was a perfectly cut shout of a Naughty, Naughty word as Kai lunged off screen and the feed cut. END OF ENTRY.

Nah, a second post went up about 10 minutes after that. This time Kai looked more visibly frustrated, and he was in a different room entirely.]

Yeah. So. Wondering if anybody here is good at being their own personal electrician. I could use some pointers.

[Magolor drifts up to him anyway, unafraid; he can take some electricity if it comes to that. Look, sometimes, you fight Kracko and Zan Partizanne, and after that you learn your tolerance for taking an electric shock. This is fine! He doesn't come right up to Kai, but he does creep pretty close to see.]

Oooooh, pretty! Not bad for a start! This makes things easier!

[That was cool and all, but Kai didn't know about this collection of experience. Noticing Magolor float that much closer made those sparks flare up more between his hands. Kai quickly tried to smoosh them together as if that might smother them out before they went too out of control.]

Ah-- Oh.

Mmhmm. I wouldn't even know where to start if you couldn't control it whatsoever! . . . Not that I know where to start anyway, but we'll see what we can do. So can you turn it off on command too?

[He had smooshed his hands together, but had that worked, or just been a panicked attempt? Magolor watches them for signs of the Spark.]

[Well. That was probably better than nothing, maybe! Kai 'hmm'ed at that and looked back at his hands. There were still tiny tendrils curling up around his knuckles, as if he had tried to catch a mouse with a super wiggly tail rather than arcs of electricity.]

... Sort of.

[With his train of thought sufficiently derailed, he was more or less able to focus an "okay stop now" at the energy and have it peter out after a moment.]

Pretty good~! You've got it a little more under control than it looked on the video. It's a work in progress, huh?

[He really doesn't know what he will do to help in any way. Magolor isn't a great teacher, or any kind of teacher at all; he's never done any kind of work with anyone else's magic. But he just had to involve himself somehow, okay?]
