This is Chief Besithia. After some investigation it has come to my attention that medical services are limited here. Considering the lack of biological life present previous to our arrival, it's of no great surprise that hospitals weren't a priority. There are limited supplies as well.

Thus, I would like to offer my medical services. I would charge a nominal fee to cover the cost of supplies.

I have over a decade's worth of experience out in the field and have had dealt with everything from mild to critical injuries. I often had to work with limited supplies or in substandard conditions and was commended for my work.

Though our world was limited to humans, based on my extensive experience I believe I would be proficient in adapting my knowledge to work with other races as well.

I'm also an adept engineer, in case anyone happens to have mechanical parts or be wholly mechanical.

We only take what is rightfully ours. We can't all be so willing to be at the whims of heartless gods.

Were Solheim not ruthlessly decimated, it would still exist at the prosperous and expansive nation it was always meant to be. Now how are the heirs of a nation smote by the gods supposed to view the nation that reveres them so?

[Not that Niflheim didn't have any religion in it when gods were widely known. But it was much different than Lucis.]

Solheim fell because of the very pride you so blatantly show today. Humans who foolishly believe they are greater than the Astrals. Why should they show any heart toward you and yours when you would rather worship facts, soulless metal, and your own limited minds?

I will choose for us to be in charge of our own fates, and not depend on the gods' temperaments. I said no such thing, though I am hardly surprised you would twist my words in such fashion. Funny how those who eschew my country's way of life so desperately want that which the Astrals granted to us. If you deny the Astrals and their uncaring ways, then you should also be denied access to the gifts which they grant those who do not deny them. Is this not logical?

We have never received their blessing nor needed their gifts to survive. We have survived despite the gods, not because of them. And when we win the war, it will be by our own hands and minds, not handed to us.

Would you still be important if not for the gods propping you up? I would be.

I do not care if others see me as important once my time passes. If I have done my best to aid those I care for and wish to protect, that is all that matters.

I'm important because of my abilities and results. What people think of me matters little in the face of hard data.

You obviously do not know half what you think you do if you truly believe that the Crystal and the Astrals give their gifts freely. No power comes without price and the Crystal demands the highest price of all from those who use its magics.
