[Libra's face appears in the camera, him looking confused for a moment, before relaxing. Then he speaks, in his normal quiet calm tone.]

Hello. Hopefully this is working.

My name is Libra, I'm somewhat new here. I wanted to reach out and see if anyone knew of a place or someone who could use the help of a Ylissean monk. I can fight well with an axe, but I tend to focus on healing.

I prefer to keep myself busy for multiple reasons, so please let me know.

Also... this is more personal, but has anyone here been able to get over a dislike of human contact?

What if this was a combination of a feeling of want, and a feeling of need? It's not fully that I'm required to?

[ Inclined to be fiery as she usually is once she gets started, it's hard to keep on it when she gets such a reasonable response. She's still frowning, but there's a little huff, and a pause as she considers. ]

... You mean to say, it's... something you would have been aiming for anyway? Is that how it is?

While it's something I haven't overcome, it is something I've been wanting to work on. Some of my friends at home were trying, and some progress was made.

Just not... completely.

[ She huffs again, but softer this time--more of a sigh, really, though she keeps grumbling. ]

... Sorry. I just started saying things without understanding the situation. But really, you know... you shouldn't have to force yourself too much with that kind of thing.

It's fine. You meant no offense.

[She reminds him of a few people at home.]

I can promise I won't force myself if I don't feel like it. But I would like to try and overcome it at some point.

[ There's a small flush of shame in her cheeks--being obnoxious to a stranger and making him reassure her, jeez Kyoko!--but the least she can do now is try to say something a little more thoughtful, so she frowns and moves on. ]

... So then, why not just do the same things that were helping at home? Is it only because you don't have the people who helped you before here with you?

[He's a member of the clergy, it's what he does. It's second nature to reassure and calm people if he comes across them in anger or sadness.

He slowly nods in response to her question.]

For me, it involves a lot of trust... and when you spend time together fighting in a war, that trust grows. And none of those people are here.

[ She'd been planning to say something like "just focus on making new friends for now!" but with that context.... Jeez, that would definitely be way too insensitive, wouldn't it? ]

... Sorry. You're... probably gonna have a lot of trouble here.

[She means no offense, he wouldn't have taken any, really.]

New friendships will be made. But, it might be rough the first few months.

[ Kyoko's not sure if that's maturity or optimism, but either way, she's sure she's no match for it. ]

... Well, you shouldn't be in any rush, anyway. Sometimes weird things happen that make it necessary, but... usually, it's possible to get by just fine without touching anyone.

I appreciate that reassurance.

I know I'll get through it in time.

Good luck with it. Um--sometimes there are people who wanna just go for it, but nobody's ever gotten mad at me for refusing, so far. So... I really hope you can take things at your own pace, you know?
