[text] Re: Petals & Pages
Hello.
Due to circumstances regarding the weather, Petals & Pages will be temporarily closed. Apologies for the inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding.
... However if you require assistance due to the elements, that is still available just outside on most days. Please feel free to stop by.
[And indeed, just outside the big windows of the shop there is a makeshift set up of (expendable) pillows and blankets under the shade of the awning. When those are outside, very likely this tiny business owner is also perched among them to continue to provide the cuddle aspect of the shop.]

Hey. I saw the announcement on the network.

[Such a large urchin, wow. Its a good thing that Vianca was used to being loomed over by... virtually everyone. It also helped that actually, she was kind of expecting him. For The Arrangement.
So she nodded.]
Your appointments can still be honored, if you don't mind being outside.
no subject
No, I don't really mind but will you be okay? I mean, the weather isn't that ideal to sit outside for someone so small.
no subject
Thank you. I should be fine as long as I stay properly hydrated.
The books are easier to damage than I am.
no subject
You'd faint at any given moment.
[ ... okay, yikes, he was sounding like Gojou just now. ]
I respect your tenacity to your collection, but you need something more than just pillows and blankets. You need something to protect yourself from the sun besides water.
no subject
I do not think my temperature has risen enough for heat stroke.
[But he had a fair point. The awning over the entrance and windows only did so much for part of the day when it came to shade. The pillows were more for having the other part of the business be outside, but the blankets...]
We could build a castle.

cries i flaked hard on last event But Here I Am, Here And Now
[Even if she did have a dubious collection of drink bottles beside her. Plants needed hydration...!]
But I would not mind a visitor.
no worries!

[Goofy would be, but would Vianca?
In this tag economy???YEs, there she was. Sitting right outside as promised.]

Hiya, pal!
no subject
Hello, Goofy. How are you?
no subject
[ Aaaand it's hug time! ]
no subject
What adventures have you been on?

[No pressure or anything though. Minato hasn't had a chance to stop by when the shop was open, but he'd like to at least see who runs it and what the shop looks like.]

[With her permission, he does head on over to Petals & Pages. He sees all of those pillows and blankets and sees someone pink there watching over them.]
You're the one who messaged everyone?
no subject
Yes. Hello. [Wow even her voice was small. She folded her hands in front of her and gave a little nod of her head.]
My name is Vianca.
no subject
I'm Minato. It's nice to meet you.
[He glances over at the shop behind them.]
You run it by yourself? It's like a library?
no subject
It is nice to meet you, Minato.
[She followed his glance to the window, nodding again.]
Yes. I have not found that many books yet, but people can come read them and sit with other people.
no subject
Do you have a favorite or one that you like to read with other people?
[Too bad the shop's closed, but he may as well ask the curator for recommendations.]
no subject
[She folded her hands in her lap, looking at them thoughtfully as she gave this very important question some extreme consideration.]
They are all good books. Some are instructional, so they would be good to share during that activity. Master of the Bands is good to read to others though. It is an engaging adventure.
no subject
Have you read all of the books in your shop?
[He hopes that's also not a nosy question. Some people might get offended or feel like they're being judged, but he doesn't mean it that way at all. It's more like he doesn't want her to feel bored if she ends up reading something with someone if she's read it multiple times already.]
no subject
Yes. Several times. I am trying to read what the library in Havenwell has to offer as well, but it is nice to come back to these ones.
[Then, quieter:]
They are friends.
no subject
I'm glad you have them. They're reliable.
[Constant, at least, maybe unchanging. He glances at the shop for a second.]
If I come here alone, would it be okay to read with you?
no subject
[No matter who came and went or who forgot her, she'd always had her books. They had been the sole constancy at the academy. Being able to have a few of her old friends in this place brought an immeasurable amount of comfort. Closing the shop for a while to keep them safe was the only logical choice.
She nodded.]
Of course. It is a rule that if you visit, you have to sit with someone so that everyone can benefit. You would be very welcome to sit with me.
no subject
[And he really is grateful to have her company and that she's so generous with it and her time, too. There are no books now, so he hopes he's not being so forward.]
no subject
That is why I am still here. Some of the weird things that happen can be solved just like this.
[There was a tilt of her head.] Or just for company.
no subject
Thanks. I like the company.
[He does! He's not just saying that.]
Can you tell me more about these other weird things?
