While I don't want to seem like I'm making assumptions about the state of the residents here, I'd like to offer my assistance.

I've noticed that there is a lack of support, in a way, here. Part of my duties as a monk back home was to provide a listening ear and advice for those who were looking for it.

Plus, from reading things, some people may have gone back to their homes, people we've become friends with.

So, if this something you wish to take use of, please let me know, it would be my pleasure.

I did the whole "bottle up everything inside" thing once when everything was terrible, and I can't recommend it. No one enjoyed it. I was an enormous lout.

You can't understand without actually knowing what happened. Believe me. It was far beyond a normal amount of stress. Beyond even the epics of olde.

I haven't talked about what happened to me because it's enough pain that I'm afraid of it spreading to someone else if they so much as even HEAR about it. Ordinary people aren't built to process that pain. Too much of an ask.

Which is why I said I 'might' take you up on that offer. I've got to think about it long and hard.

That may be a word used for it, yes. For me, it's just a part of my normal duties as clergy.

Sometimes you just need to talk to someone. Get everything out in the open... and then you can ask advice, or just think clearer on a subject. Especially if that person is outside of the situation, say, a fight or something.

Or even if a person just needs to confess something.
