Good morning!

[A bright, cheerful voice and an equally bright smile... though upside down. Aerith has only just been given this thing and thought she'd worked out how to use it, but clearly not!

The bright smile fades to an unhappy pout.]

Oh, drat it all. Give me a moment.

[The feed goes black and returns a moment later with a victorious laugh since she has the phone the right way up this time! Cheered she worked it out, she's back to smiling and walking as she speaks, her booted feet crunching through the thick, white snow.]

This is a beautiful place! I'm not entirely sure where I am, but the nice metal men told me I had a particular set of skills needed for this world. [A small laugh.] I can't imagine that. But I wanted to say hello to you all and introduce myself!

And I think anyone at all could have the skills necessary. All that's needed is positive physical contact. Whether that's platonic or intimate though will be your choice and whoever you're with.

[She leans in a bit close to the phone and lowers her voice to a pleasant whisper.]

She straightened up and then lifted a hand in a little wave of hello, her smile warm.]

[He's got trouble, he'll admit.

Her smile is contagious, his own warming in return.]

I'm sure the natives and the gods will greatly appreciate it.

[Oh, what a sweet smile! Her own widened, she looked so happy to be speaking to Ciel.

A hand lifted and she tapped at her cheek lightly, gaze wandering away for a moment, before she snapped her fingers and then looked back.]

That's what I wanted to ask!

Can we see these gods?

[Sometimes he can be very sweet.]

Unfortunately, no. Although you might find their animal representatives at times. Oddly color mice or dragons and other things. They usually spend their time around their respective temples.

Oh, those cute little mice at the temple? I haven't seen dragons yet...

[But she looked utterly enchanted and, of course, now she had something she fully intended to go and investigate. Aerith was going to find the dragons and say hello!]

I think I'll have nothing but free time, so yes, if it's not too much trouble? I'd love to see the dragons with you!

[Her expression was one of excitement. She would get to see dragons outside of a book? She couldn't wait!]

It wouldn't be any trouble at all. You only need to let me know when.

Thankfully, since the Baths have officially opened, my help in restoring it hasn't been necessary. So I've much more free time the past few months now.

[Somehow, he can imagine Rawna's dragonlings adoring her. Actually, he can imagine all the gods animals adoring her.]

[She looks puzzled at this, did the houses not contain baths? How strange! This was another thing she would love to see for herself.

She stops and smiles widely, a warm and eager smile.]

Well, I am outside now. So why not now? If you're sure you're not busy and have the free time?

Mm, it was in bad shape thanks to being beyond the wall originally, but most of the bathhouse is working now. There's a few that the native robots will probably see to finishing but everywhere there that we can use if functional.

[He glances at the time and then nods and smiles.]

I've got plenty of time, I think. Where should I meet you?

A bathhouse... How interesting.

[She'd have to look at this place, the notion both fascinated and amused her! Was it public? Did they all sit in a tub together? She would find out!

At the next question, Aerith stopped walking and looked around her, trying to find some kind of landmark.]

Well I... am not really certain where I am. There are houses over there...

[She was too new to have any idea of places that they could meet, sadly. But she could stand in one place and wait to be found!]

[He lets his good eye flick around the screen, catching anything easily recognizable.]

Thankfully, most housing seems close together. So I should be able to find you easily enough.

[And since he's seen her, he knows who to watch for.]

I'll come find you in a moment.

[She smiled brightly. If she stayed where she was then she would be much easier to find, she assumed.]

[He gives her a smile before turning off his device and heading out to meet her, making sure to grab an umbrella, just in case.

His first few months in Havenwell had him build up a habit of trying to be prepared for any weather and he refuses to break that habit.]

[Once the call ends Aerith slips her communicator into her pocket and remains just where she was, waiting.

It was getting quite chilly. She lifted her hands and cupped them near her mouth to delicately blow into, warming her icy fingers.

First order of business when she was able was to get warmer clothes! Coat, gloves and a scarf to start with! And maybe some pants... She looked down at her skirt and frowned. She was definitely not dressed for snowy climates!]

[It takes him a bit but before it becomes too concerning an amount of time, she'll find the young man approaching and giving her a warm smile.]

Miss Aerith?

[He saw that attempt to warm up.]

I know of a nice cafe nearby, if you'd like.

[On hearing her name, Aerith drops her hands and gives a wide, warm smile of her own. As well as a quick wave of greeting.]

That sounds perfect!

Is it always so cold here?

[He wishes he'd thought to borrow one of Undertaker's coats. He's sure that it would be able to keep her comfortably warm for a bit.]

Not always. The weather can be a bit hectic at times. When I arrived, you could have a warm summer days kind of weather, turn down another street, and step into a blizzard.

That sounds dreadful!

[And dangerous... How could you know if you would been an umbrella or a snow shovel?]

This is a very strange world... [A sigh and then a quick smile as she held her arm out to Ciel.]

Well, shall we?

It was bothersome. I carried an umbrella with me for the first month or so, just in case of a sudden downpour.

[He just tried to avoid the snow, mostly.]

It can be but it isn't too bad once you get settled.

[He smiles and loops an arm around her.]

Would you prefer a regular cafe or a cat cafe?

[Aerith grinned and leaned against his arm when he took hers and began walking beside him.]

I suppose umbrella's are handy in any weather. Rain or shine. Keeps the sun from burning out delicate skin.

[ THIS MIGHT AS WELL BE HAPPENING.

To be fair, Rufus did warn him, and somehow Zack was also here, and Sephiroth?? But it was still going to take getting used to.

But, the video clicked on, and cue one Reno, who was sitting somewhere or another, just taking it easy. Though, books could be seen around the table near him. ]

Well, look who it is! I didn't see you when I got here a few days ago--how's it goin, princess?

[A gasp, the phone's pulled away from her and a hand rises to point.]

Reno! What ar...

[A quick, almost worried glance around her as her hand drops. When last she saw the Turks they'd kidnapped her. They'd dropped the plate and hurt so many people. How could he sit there and talk to her so easily?

And were there others waiting to snatch her up?]

... I've just arrived here.

[ Lucky for her, Reno had no such orders for her, so he was a pretty neutral party right now. Though her shock did make him bounce his head bounce back with a laugh.

He could talk to a lot of people after dropping the plate. It was business. ]

We're supposed to be working together here, so take it easy.

I'd offer to take you on a tour, but you got your choice between Zack and Cloud.

Hmm...

[She might have had strong words to say about that, if Reno hadn't spoken before she could say much more.

Her expression went very still, very calm, at odds with the strange whirl of emotions she was currently feeling, but were hard to pin down.

Cloud she had already seen. But...]

[The word, soft, left her lips before she could stop it. Her lip trembled, then she forced a smile.]

I've seen Cloud!

[ Well, at least that assuaged any current disagreements for now, even if only because he swept them under the rug and left her to grapple with Zack being present.

Don't think the Turks didn't know! ]

Yeah. [ He seemed a bit distracted by the prospect, too, but he shrugged it off. ]

Yeah same; I got the Blank Face of Absolute Delight when he saw me. I think he likes me. [ He seemed to buy her smile, or rather, if he knew it was forced, he didn't comment on it. ] Anyway, what's the last thing you remember? Before coming here.

[The smile was frozen upon her lips, her gaze not quite focused. It took a handful of seconds for her to quietly, and with as much dignity as she could muster, reply.]

[And then the screen would go blank.

Aerith quietly cancelled the call, shoved the phone into her pocket and carried on walking.]

[ The screen cut out before he could even respond, and all he could do was cock his head back and blink at the tablet in his hand.

Jeeze, what was her problem? The Turks had been pretty gentle with handling her for the most part. The infantrymen had maybe one cell collectively between all of them, but it wasn't like they'd done anything.

He'd just cut his own off and stretch his back, thinking through his list of dirty deeds.

Ah, that's right, the plate drop. That wasn't too popular, but it was just business. ]

T'ch.. [ He dragged a hand down the side of his neck with a mild grimace, and figured he should stock up on medicine for the headaches this just might cause. ]
