Oh, is this working...?

Hello! [ a young girl looks back at you, with a huge smile and... Pink skin. And hair. She is also wearing a very flashy suit and a white mask around her eyes and that is totally Mina's hero suit.]

My name is Pinky, your brand new superhero! [ she makes a pose, but then waves her hand] Actually, I only have a Provisional license, but since I was brought here, I want to do what any hero would do and help out.

Though... [ her smile drops a bit, and she puts her hands together apologetically] I will need someone to fill me in on all.... The gods and the barrier and such. [ there is another small pause] And is there a way of knowing if someone from my world is here too? It'd be fun if the rest of my class was here as well-

[ but alright, she is ranting now! Mina will shake her head to stop herself and then grins wide and waves her hand] Thank you!

Just like any job such as firefighter, or doctor - you need a license for those. Of course you'd need a license to be a Hero, too. [ isn't that normal...? ]

I mean, if everyone used their Quirks without any sort of rules, it'd be utter chaos!

So it's...like a profession?

What's a quirk?

Yeah! The government pays the salaries, and naturally people have to study to become Por-Heroes! [ Mina points at herself with a big grin ] I am too. I'm a first year U.A. student, and I already have my Provisional Hero License. That means I can use my Quirk in emergency situations.

[ and she'd consider saving this world an emergency situation, but she doesn't think her Quirk will be of any help, if they are being asked to... well, cuddle! ]

Quirks are- uhm, superpowers? [ she doesn't use that terminology ] You guys don't have them?

The government does? So people with these quirks, it's common?

[There's a school as well? He wonders if it's anything like the camps - a place for training kids how to use their abilities.]

If you mean special abilities or powers, then yes, I do have some. [Several.]

Yep, pretty common! [ she puts her hands behind her head, still with a grin ] 80% of the people in my world have them!

[ but actually- ] SO you don't call them quirks? What do you-

Some?!!?! You have more than one?!!? [ is this guy a half-half like Todoroki?! ]

[80% of the her world... So it's more common to have powers than not. That's interesting.

He almost drops his device. Was it that unusual?]

Er...Yes? Do you only have one?

Yes! I only know one person who has two different quirks at the same time!

[ a pause ] Well, now I know two. [ that's exciting, actually! ] What can you do?

It's...more than two. And not uncommon for people like me to have more than one ability.

[He really should have expected this question. People on this world have been surprisingly accepting of what he can do, so he decides to just lay it all out.]

Um, well. I can control and move through shadows. And raise and control the dead. Summon ghosts. I have some power over earth, but it's not great. I can travel through dreams as well...

[Well. That's the gist of it, anyway.]

Woah, that's amazing!! The one about dead and ghosts- is a bit scary, I love it! [ she truly really does. And despite never hearing about all those powers or people who could have multiple, Mina is truly impressed]

You are super strong, then!

You do...? [No one's ever said that before. That's...nice.]

Oh, I guess I am. [He is. He knows he's powerful.]

What's your power? You said you had one.

Yeah! That's really cool.

Oh, and I can produce acid from my skin! I can control solubility, viscosity, concentration and where and when it comes out. [ she rises her hand and a blob of grey acid forms there]

Well...thanks.

[Huh! That's a new one. But pretty cool.]

That's seems really useful. You must be pretty strong yourself.

Teh-eh- [ she puts her hand behind her hair with a silly grin ] I guess. I'm not the best in my class, but I don't mind that.

I don't want to be the strongest or the best, I just want to help people.

What do you learn in class that you can't learn by just going out there and getting experience? [asks the elementary school drop out.]

We are taught to use our Quirks to their best, and how to apply them in different situations, such as combat, rescue, or investigation. We also have theoretical stuff for Heroes, like naming, how to deal with the media and so on.

Plus, without classes you aren't a legal hero and vigilantism is illegal.

It's...Wait. [Wait, wait, wait.] How can it be illegal to be a hero? Even if you don't have classes or whatever, if you're doing something good, why would that be a bad thing? What happens to vigilantes?

Heroes work under the government wing, anyone who doesn't is a vigilante. [ not a hero. Mina scratches her neck for a second, thinking how to explain this. To her, this is really basic stuff that everyone knows and understands, but to someone not from her world it could be a bit weird. ]

Most people in the world have quirks. Quirks are amazing and you can train them to become very strong! But they can also be powers that can easily hurt and kill others. [ she remembers Thirteen-sensei explaining this to her. ] In a superhuman society, Quirks have to be certified and regulated, so people don't hurt each other out of malice or by accident.

This is why in order to become a Hero, one must follow certain regulations and be overseen by the government. Those who do not do so can be a danger to other people, and they will be arrested for endangerment.

I guess if having powers is so common, it would make sense to regulate it...

[It still seems strange, but maybe because it's the inverse of his own experience.]

My world doesn't have anything like that. Most are ignorant that people with powers even exist.

EHhh? Why keep them hidden?

It's not just our powers. There are monsters, and gods that exist as well. There's a thing called the Mist that makes it all appear...normal. Like something mortals can comprehend. It changes what they see. It can even alter their memories. If I draw my sword on a crowded street, regular people around me might see me holding a baseball bat instead.

[ that... sounds like a lot of work ]

Wouldn't it be better if everyone knew and were prepared for those things?

Or it'd cause mass panic, or the collapse of civilization as we know it. [Actually, he has no idea what would happen. But the whole world upending itself doesn't seem too far from the mark, considering how close it's come in just the last few years.

He shrugs.] Either way, it's not up to me.

... why? [ that didn't happen in her world, so she has no clue why it would.

Mina crosses her arms thinking ] Who is it up to? I mean, you told me about it, are you gonna be in trouble?

Because people are afraid of what they don't understand, and when people are scared, they do stupid things, like kill and start wars.

[Not to say the gods were benevolent and peaceful by any means. The last two wars proved as much.]

The gods put the Mist in place, so I guess it's up to them. And I won't get in trouble for talking about it. My gods aren't even here.
