[ video starts and Mina looks very much annoyed; behind her is Katsuki is staring blankly into space and if someone is to look closer, they are actually in jail.

Guess who tried to go over the wall! That's right, these two dumbasses climbed the wall and tried to get out and the native robots finally got tired of their shenanigans and decided to arrest them for the night. Mina is not happy; Katuski is too stunned to speak and this is a huge mess ]

They actually arrested us! This is cruelty! [ Mina waves her hands, which means she waves the communicator, but eventually she remembers to stop ] We just wanted to help, this is no fair!

[Finally, Mina's voice gets Katsuki to snap out of it. The light returns to his eyes, along with his anger, and he stands up while snarling. He won't allow any shitty robots to ruin his record!] Stop talking and help me break out of this stupid cell. Who the fuck arrests their heroes?! I'LL KILL THEM!!!

What did you do to get arrested?

We were over by the wall, and Katsuki tried to go over it by force because he is a BLOCKHEAD! [ she screams that last part so katsuki can hear it ]

Well that's stupid. You could die if you go outside the wall.

[He's never tried, but he's caught a glimpse of what's out there. And he's heard stories - of the time it was breeched, and that it's toxic beyond the barrier.]

We don't know that.

There are birds outside and they seem fine.

Maybe... They could have adapted to the outside environment.

I'unno. They seemed pretty normal.

And they are living out there, all mutated and gross.

I...guess...

[He's not sure the feathers those birds dropped - that cause people to chirp or float away, or even grow their own feathers - is normal. But it also seems par for the course around here.]

I don't really know that much about birds, or any animals really.

Yeah, me neither. But they looked normal and all... so i don't know... they had to come from somewhere.

You're right. They did have to come from somewhere. It's just...I heard there was a breach - before I arrived here. Things came through, monsters or something, I don't know. But it wasn't good. People got hurt. I just think we need to be careful. There's more out there than birds.

Yeah, I heard about that too, but... those were monsters. These birds didn't look or act like that at all. [ they were very cute, though loud. And kind of dirty... STILL CUTE THOUGH ]

If there is good life outside the barrier, we should help them too.

[He purses his lips, unconvinced.]

Seems like you did. What were you trying to do?

You were far away. Anyway, wanna help us escape?

We wanted to see if there's life outside. What's so fucking wrong with that?

[As if that's really a concern.]

I could try shadow-traveling you out...

[Blissfully unaware that his powers won't actually work at the jail.]

I won't let that happen.

[Or that's what he hopes. He doesn't know how far within the building his quirk won't work-]

Wait, what?! You can do that?!

Sssure...

[Nico looks skeptical, but nods.]

I can, yeah. [He just faints afterwards. But as long as he's not in the middle of a fight, it's fine.]

That might actually be useful.

Okay, let's fucking do this.

Alright. Soon as I figure out where the jail is, I'll be there.

[He doesn't spend any time debating whether this is a good idea or not. If anything, it will give him an idea of how secure their facilities are. That could be useful information.

Fifteen or so minutes later, he arrives, looking between the two inside in the cell. Now would probably be the time to reconsider, but instead he steps in closer.]

Alright. Let's get this over with. I'm going to need your hand.

Yeah whatever. Guess this makes us even.

[Katsuki can't stop fidgeting while he waits. When he hears Nico he glances up and stands up, extending his hand.]

Hurry up Ashido, we're escaping-!

[ when Mina sees Nico, she quickly gets up, eyes wide and clearly surprised. ]

W-wha?! [ oh gosh should they be doing this?! ] ... if I get arrested again, I'm blaming both of you!

What do I gotta do?

That's fair.

[He extends and hand to Mina as well, and clasps Katsuki's through the bars.]

Hold on, and do not let go. If you get lost in the shadows, I can't bring you back.

[Once he's got both of their hands in a firm grip, he concentrates on pulling the darkness around them. Except - aside from a slight wavering in the deeper shadows- nothing happens. He frowns, clearly annoyed.]

...huh.

Quit whining. We ain't getting arrested again.

[Katsuki grumbles and rolls his eyes. Wait. Lost in-]

If I get lost I'll just use my explosions. Hurry up before they get suspicious.

[Katsuki goes quiet (for once) because he doesn't want the guards to notice what's going on. But when nothing happens, he frowns at Nico.]

What's wrong?

[ Mina reaches for Nico's hand right away, looking at him then at Bakugou, and expecting... well something. Anything! to happen.

She looks around next ] Are we... in the shadows already? it looks less shadow-y than i expected...

No.

[He takes his hands back, grumbling. He makes a gesture at the shadows at their feet, and still nothing happens. It's...disconcerting.]

My powers don't work here.

They don't WHAT?!

[Katsuki screams, his temper already beginning to flare. He grabs onto the bars and scowls at Nico.]

You should escape before the shitty robots notice. We'll find another way out.
