[The video opens with the camera up close to Noctis, where he's trying very hard to look serious while fighting off what can only be considered giddiness.]

Hey, question for Havenwell at large... I'm pretty disappointed right now.

[He turns the camera, revealing a little lake, sparkling blue-green in colour and surrounded by lush foliage. There's a soft splash just off the shore, and Noctis utters a muffled, "there you are!" fumbling with the communicator for a moment until a lure goes flying towards it, attached to a fishing line.

When the camera returns to Noctis, he is grinning like an absolute fool, holding his fishing rod.]

Why did no one tell me about this place? Or am I the first? I hope I'm the first. Can I name it? [His voice lowers, conspiratorial.] There's fish here.

[The video cuts off, but included in his message are the coordinates to what one might assume is the pond in question, where Noct can be found fishing all. Day. Long. There's a blue chocobo curled up on a nearby rock, waiting patiently for him to finish as she's done dozens of times before.]

Are there a lot of ponds where you're from?

Tons of 'em. Plus a few huge oceans, too. I grew up in an island city so not seeing a lot of water around for this long has been weird as hell.

[He's ever even seen an ocean. He can't imagine how amazing and island would be.]

Really. A big island, granted, but still.

I don't think I would care who big it was. It's still an island.

My dad could probably tell you more about it, he's more likely to have actually explored it. I never really left the city. It was a nice place to live, though.

I still don't understand why anyone would choose to live in a city. Makes no sense.

[The only real "city" he could claim to have lived in is here, and that wouldn't likely be considered a true city in most senses of the word. He didn't exactly enjoy it here either. Why would he want something bigger and more crowded?]

Most people don't choose it so much as they're born into it, but hey, some of us enjoy both flavours.

You think this is a city? It's barely a town.

[More empty buildings than a city proper, especially with the barrier expansions revealing more ancient ruin.]

[He's aware of that, to some level, which is why he's pretty confident he wouldn't handle a city.]

Bigger than most places I've been to. I've never even seen a city.

[And for once he isn't using that phrasing as a joke about the fact that he's blind.]

Maybe someday. If this place keeps growing it might happen here.

[He's doubtful, admittedly. The territory keeps growing, but the town doesn't. Still, who really knows.]
