Hello,

I have a question I am hoping someone might be able to answer.

You know a person who makes you feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed. Whose presence makes you feel warm and content. A person you wish to see smile, and whenever they do it makes you so very happy. Who you are always excited to see and spend time with.

This person who also makes your insides flutter uncomfortably, like the feeling you have when you wish to punch someone in the face very badly, though you have no actual desire to punch them at that particular moment. Who can aggravate you like no other in the span of a single breath, yet also calm your fury just as effortlessly. A person you cannot fathom being absent from your life.

What would you call that kind of person?

My thanks for any insight you can offer.

Unlike some, I dislike killing others even when it is necessary.

It's okay, we all have some shortcomings, yeah?

But if you can't kill them, just avoid them. Same diff. Take them out of your life and see what happens.

I do not see valuing life as a shortcoming.

Didn't say you had to follow through on it, just try to kill them. You'll know when you're in the middle of it whether you actually want them gone or not.

And if you're sooooo opposed to killing, like I said - just cut them out of your life. Either you'll miss their bullshit or you won't.

I have already killed them, and found no joy in it.

Yeah it's unfortunate when they don't stay dead. Unless, of course, you didn't want them dead in the first place, then it's kind of like a freebie.

I did not want them dead, but they left me with no other choice.

I felt relief and regret in equal measure. I cannot say I knew them well enough to miss them at that time.

But now? Seems like you've gotten to know them better and you think there might be more regret than relief, huh?

I do not regret what I have done. I regret that it was necessary, but that is nothing new.

So, sounds like whatever they did to warrant you yeeting them off this mortal coil, they deserved it. Makes for a complicated relationship, huh?

Can't say I haven't had my fair share of shitty boyfriends in the past. Just 'cause you like someone doesn't meant they're a good person or that they're good for you. Might be better to just ignore them, regardless of how much you might wanna be near 'em. It might cause you more grief than it's worth.

Even disregarding what they did, it would still be infuriatingly complicated.

I would ask that you not compare them to your shitty boyfriends. Despite being somewhat of an asshole they are a good person, simply forced to do horrible things to survive. From what I understand of the concept they would likely be quite a good boyfriend for most anyone else.

Just because I like being near them, but that does not mean I want to be near them.

If he's not good for you, so leave him in the dust, homie. You gotta practice some self-love in this situation and get the hell outta dodge.

Exactly as it says on the tin. You need to put yourself first, pour all that attention you want to put into someone who is not worth it right now into yourself. I mean, it's like VERY OBVI you're in love with this dude, but just 'cause you might love 'em doesn't mean they're good for you, you know? If they don't make you better, complete you in a way that makes that ache inside quieter? Dump. His. Ass.

Not saying you're not going to have fights even with The One, but he shouldn't make you want to punch his face in or like...not regret killing his ass. No matter how fine that ass might be.

Do what's right for you, even if it means taking the harder path.

To 'dump' someone would imply 'dating' them in the first place, which we are not, and will not, and cannot do. We are diametrically opposed down to our very cores and the gods we are bound to.

He is not 'The One', whatever that may be.

You can dump a friend, dump am enemy, dump a truck on someone - the way you talk about them it's pretty obvious how you feel, even if you've put blinders on for whatever reason.

You know what you need to do.
