Sorry to be a bother, everyone, but if I'm not mistaken, this month amounts to about November on Earth. So I thought I might start considering Christmas.

I haven't many friends here so I haven't many things to get really but my idea for one of them requires some help. And time. If anyone can sew, make a blanket with a design, I would appreciate your assistance. And you will, of course, be compensated.

That's more than fair, I can understand that. If you'd like though, perhaps a second blanket to throw him off if he gets suspicious could do. A throw blanket to make the house feel more comfortable?

I want to say that sounds a little silly, but I can't deny that I'm totally into the idea of a decoy blanket! What a concept!

Hehe, I won't disagree with you there. But who cares if it's silly? Well, as long as your friend likes silly!

He does, actually. Back on our home world, whenever I needed help, he insisted on pay him in laughter. Unfortunately, I'm terrible with jokes. This might get a good laugh out of him though.

Pay him in laughter . . . that's some kind of friend you have there. Well, whatever! I think you've got this one in the bag! I can't give you a laughter-back guarantee, though. Or a money-back guarantee either.

That's alright, the gift alone will be worth whatever effort I need to put in for a laugh. I can always ask around for a few cheesy jokes.
