[ when the feed turns on, there is a man with large white wings standing too close. he squints at it quizzically before moving back with a frown that barely mars his beauty. his wings flap erratically behind him. ]

My sister, Leanne, seems to be missing. I have searched everywhere but she cannot be found. I — [ reyson bites it off, frustrated before taking a deep breath. ] — I will assume she has returned home as I know there have been cases of people . . . leaving. And I have no reason to suspect foul play. The Gods have deemed it so.

[ but, oh, it is a bitter pill that for a moment his face cracks from the effort from it. but reyson has borne worse. ]

Perhaps . . . if you could, please share some words or prayer to your own Gods to watch over her. Or share me stories of your deities. Are they kind? Cruel? Are Gods strangers to you?

Rin's heard that before. [ She chirps ] Rin wouldn't know. Rin is Rin!

Oh no. Lord Sesshoumaru never says things like that. But Rin hears the villagers talk, sometimes. And the priests don't understand either, although Lord Miroku does, probably coz' he's friends with Lord Inuyasha.

Friends with the man who cut off his brother's arm?

Lord Miroku's a monk! He's supposed to be nice to everyone, but Lord Jaken says he's sneaky. But he's got really strong spiritual power. He's really good friends with Lord Inuyasha! Lord Sesshoumaru doesn't have friends though, he says. But Rin thinks he tolerates Lord Miroku coz Lord Sesshoumaru used to look after Kohaku, and they're all really grateful, but especially Lady Sango, Lord Miroku's wife, coz Kohaku is her brother!

[ BREATHE RIN ]

I . . . see. Does your lord spend time with his . . . enemies?

Nope. [ She shakes her head ]

He only visits from time to time. But he wants Rin to be safe, and Rin will be safe there. Lord Inuyasha will make sure of it.

I find it all very strange.

[ She shrugs - lots of people tell her that too! ]

Rin wouldn't know, it's the only life Rin has!

I don't think I have ever been that comfortable with my enemies.

Rin thinks its because Lord Inuyasha is Lord Sesshoumaru's brother. Family is important! And they don't like each other, but Lord Sesshoumaru knows, Lord Inuyasha would never willingly hurt a human.

I suppose being family would complicate matters.

Adults are weird. [ She says and then laughs ] That's what Shippo says. But Rin thinks so sometimes too.

Humans are particularly strange to me.

What's your family like, Prince Reyson?

[heron]

Gentle. Kind. They loved to sing and they loved nature. My family was incapable of hurting anyone and anything.

They sound really nice. But if they can't hurt anyone, isn't that dangerous?
