Hello. There are a few new books available at Petals & Pages to read. I hope to continue expanding its stock.

I am also curious about peoples' opinions on something. There have been more than a few posts regarding birthdays-- do you find them important? Is it important you know someone else's? I feel as though there are many takes on this.

Is she another trainer?

Yeah. Ghost-type trainer. Her father owned the library in Malie. Trick is finding something she hasn't read already.

That is tricky, with such a head start. If it is a very big library, I would guess it already has a number of books from other regions too...

There is always finding different editions to compare and contrast, but that depends on what kind of books she likes best.

History books. Real and fantasy types. She knows a lot of Alola's old legends by heart and keeps 'em alive.

The older the book the better, in my opinion.

Yes. I used to take care of the library at my school. I'd like to make something at least a little bit like that.

I would not mind sending one or two to a very good home.

Ever think about writing instead?

It's true, but it seems like I have the time to at least make a start.

I have not really considered writing though. I am not sure what I would have to say.

Can't be that hard. You could copy a book that doesn't exist here word for word and nobody'd know any better.

Or make up a story based on something from wherever you come from.

I do not think copying and writing are the same thing.

Creatively bankrupt writing.

Lots of people make a living off of that, you know.

But I don't think they care about the books themselves.

[There was probably a case to be made for imaginative re-tellings, but those weren't made with money on the mind. At least, one would hope.]

My classmates all had much more interesting stories.

I do not know if it would be inappropriate to use them if I could not ask permission.

Think of it as honoring them. Someone's gotta preserve their legacy if they're not around.

Visiting friends that don't talk or make a bunch of fuss in person--sounds perfect.

Those are the kinds you make when you enjoy a book. Do you read with Acerola at all?

Yeah, especially when she was little. I'm her guardian.

Now she does all the reading all on her own.
