As a heads up: I'm a lich. Other terms include: undead, corpse-walker, monster, abomination. Someone screamed "The Raven's Misfortune" at me once and I thought that was delightfully poetic.

If you have a problem with this, you can eat my entire ass. If you want to BRING your problem to me, I'll be happy to set YOUR ass on fire.

Now, are there any deeply personal details I ought to know about you in order for us to be friends? Apparently I have trust issues and aren't accustomed to mortal cultural norms.

It's complicated. Technically I'm a lich possessing my own body, so I can experience anything that a normal person would. If I were just a lich, bodiless, I wouldn't be able to eat, and interacting with the physical world is difficult.

Think of it as a really advanced form of ghost, I guess.

That doesn't seem so bad. A bit odd, I'm sure it seems more so to you sometimes though, but you seems no different to me than anyone or anything that hasn't died before, really.

It's less a reflection on what you can handle, and more a commentary on the character of the person who made this necessary for you. It's not something you should have had to do at all.

No one made it necessary. I know you're trying to be supportive, but please don't be unkind. This was petty, and I'm not so stubborn that I can't recognize that.

Hurt people do hurtful things. There are wounds on both sides, and let's leave it at that, okay?

I know you, for however little we spoke in the fleet. I know nothing of whoever gave insult. And so my only frame of reference of your character compared to a strangers.

It's unfair of you to attempt to scold me over a reaction you invited.

I'm not scolding you. I'm requesting you not badmouth someone who just happened to make a mistake. I didn't do this to be hateful.

If you can't accept that, then while I thank you for your support, this conversation is over.
