Hey folks. PSA for you. Name's Lup, I own Affurgato. Congrats to those who've already met my fabulous self.

As a heads up: I'm a lich. Other terms include: undead, corpse-walker, monster, abomination. Someone screamed "The Raven's Misfortune" at me once and I thought that was delightfully poetic.

If you have a problem with this, you can eat my entire ass. If you want to BRING your problem to me, I'll be happy to set YOUR ass on fire.

Now, are there any deeply personal details I ought to know about you in order for us to be friends? Apparently I have trust issues and aren't accustomed to mortal cultural norms.

Well, they're not separated by gender, for one.

Monks are trained martial artists, they specialize in mostly unarmed combat. Their whole bodies end up as weapons. A good monk can kill you with their pinky if they really put the effort in.

Clerics are healers who get their power from whatever god they happen to worship. How much they worship tends to vary wildly, but most of them are pious enough that the god throws them a power bone when they need it.

I don't think we have anything that would match your style of Monk. Most people who aren't manaketes or taguel use weapons like swords, lances, like that.

Clerics... Well, healers can be any gender but not under the 'cleric' category. As I said, I'm a healer, and I'm a monk... But most healing magic is through staffs that we hold. A channel for magic, of sorts. And being religious isn't a factor, really.

Interesting. I can't count the number of times I've come across worlds with similar terminology and different definitions. Add this one to the list, then.

The last cleric I traveled with preferred a club and a book as his healing focus, but I don't think it's a requirement to do so. Like wizards, we can pick just about anything as our focus provided we know how to channel our magic through it.
