While we are all aware of the monetary benefits of physical contact, I would like to better measure the precise amount of that benefit.

For that reason I will require the following:

1. Volunteers who can arrive for scheduled appointments in a timely and consistent manner.
2. Volunteers who can keep an accurate record of their contact.

I will be measuring a number of variables, the main ones being whether different forms of contact generate a greater reward, or if contact with multiple bodies at once changes the amount. Types of contact will vary over separate spans of time so they can be compared. I will start with contact between hands.

Post here if you are able to assist.

Right, right. Only so many variables you can test at once! I'm just all for maximizing efficiency. And I assume that's your goal here, not the pure pursuit of scientific knowledge.

No argument there! And of course I'd like some insight on that myself. At this point, I don't even think it's the natives keeping mum about the mechanism. I'm pretty sure they literally don't know either.

That's true enough, but even the people in positions of more power here seem pretty clueless. The priests don't seem to know much more about how the gods work than we do! Not to mention the scientists . . .

We know at least that some of it's been removed. There's no reason to think whomever was behind it would have stopped at that. It makes more sense than thinking the whole thing really was just an accident of their technology.

[At least, it does if you're the paranoid type who overthinks everything, and these two both are.]
