[ Mina was asleep for the past three days, and her dream was horrible. When she woke up, she was sore and covered in bruises, but that's the least of her worries. After telling the temple guards she could stand up and go back to her place on her own, Mina ventures outside while reaching for her tablet.

the video feed starts and she offers a big smile that she tries really hard to keep. Mina will talk while she's walking, slowly and stumbling ]

I'm awake... I- I don't know what happened, I just... It's all very confusing, everything in this place always is- [ she takes a deep breath, to push her hair off her face, and suddenly she trips and falls. The communicator falls too, but the video feed doesn't stop.

Mina grips to her knee, now bleeding due to her fall ] it hurts- [ she whispers that, and after clings to her leg ] it really hurts... [ the smile isn't there and a sob follows while Mina nuzzles her knee.

And finally, she starts crying, sobbing loudly like a child. Because... well, she is one. ]

Mina-chan.... [ It's said softly, with feeling, as Kyoko's eyes widen for a moment. ] I'm sorry. I--didn't know.

[pinkxeno]

[ mina shakes her head, a hand moving to rub at her eyes so she won't cry ] I-it's part of... being a hero...

I know that, I should know that, s-so...

I will be okay. [ she has to. ]

[daikonrose]

... Mm. You will, I'm sure of it. You'll be a wonderful hero. [ She says it gently, as she brings her other hand up to cradle Mina's in both of hers. ]

But... right here and right now, there's nothing to battle. So, whatever's in your heart... surely it's okay to feel it, even if only for a little while?

[pinkxeno]

[ Mina looks at Kyoko's hand and then up back at her ]

... I felt... so small. So tiny- like I couldn't do anything, like I was just... a tiny girl... [ mina's eyes fill with tears again ]

I didn't expect the world to be so big and so... [ scary ] painful.

[daikonrose]

[ Kyoko listens, keeping her grip on Mina's hand steady even as the tears come. ]

... It is. [ She doesn't know Mina's world, but Kyoko is sure that's true everywhere, in every universe. ] But you faced it anyway.

[pinkxeno]

[ she looks back at Kyoko, nodding softly. That's right, she did, she faced it. Even though she didn't know how, even though she never expected it to be like that ]

I don't know what I'm supposed to do now...

[daikonrose]

[ Kyoko paused a moment, hesitating. ]

What... do you want to do?

[pinkxeno]

[ mina pauses too, thinking about her answer ]

I still want to help people. [ that's all mina ever wanted ]

[daikonrose]

[ There's another pause, as Kyoko tilts her head. ]

Then... for now, all you have to do is find people to help here, right?

[pinkxeno]

[ mina looks back at kyoko for a while, before she smiles a little. The tears have finally stopped too, and she squeezes her friend's hands back ] Y-yeah...

Yeah. That's all I have to do right now.

[daikonrose]

[ Kyoko mirrors that little smile warmly. ]

Mm. There are lots of people here who need a hero's help, I'm sure?

[pinkxeno]

I dunno... I mean, this world clearly needs help. So I will help. [ even though she isn't used to help by hugging and holding hands, but at least... well, it's something ]

Then, that's it. While you're here, you can worry about the problems that are right here.

[ Is that really encouraging? It seems to be what Mina wants to hear, at any rate. ]

[ mina smiles at the other girl and nods; that actually does help and Mina seems to have a bit more of confidence back ] yeah.

Yeah! I can help people here. [ and there is no war, too. ]

[ There she is. Kyoko would have understood if Mina still didn't feel like smiling, but it's good to see. After another squeeze to her hand, Kyoko gives it a pat, and then lets go. ]

You see? Because that's how you are, after all.

[pinkxeno]

[ Mina snorts a little, touching the back of her neck ]

W-well, and nothing comes from crying either.

[daikonrose]

Mm... [ Kyoko's smile softens, understanding. ] For me, when my heart hurts more than I can bear, I just have to cry it all out. Maybe nothing comes of it, but... I can always go back to being my regular self after I've cried enough.

[pinkxeno]

[ mina hums, nodding ]

I think... I prefer to laugh, rather than crying. [ it just feels right to her. Mina may cry, but being positive and happy is what makes her feel normal ]

[daikonrose]

Laughing suits you the best!

[ She has to agree. ]

But if it takes a few tears before you can laugh, sometimes, I don't think you should worry over it--that's all I meant.

[pinkxeno]

[ Mina nods softly]

I think... I am lucky. My teachers support us a lot, and me and my classmates are all together like a family. And now I'm here and I still have Bakugou and I have you and everyone else... 

So I'm not alone and it's much easier,. 

[daikonrose]

[ Kyoko meets Mina's eyes warmly. ]

... Mm. I'll come running to your side anytime, so you definitely won't ever have to be alone.

[pinkxeno]

[ mina grins again, letting out a small laugh ] 

Ehehehe- you will be my hero, then.

[daikonrose]

Mm! Let me save you too, every now and then!

Of course.  I'm not the only hero around, clearly!
