[Despite being voice, it's clear the guy talking knows exactly what information he wants but would much rather leave the actual asking to someone else.]
If anyone has met any youths by the names of Cyan, Rin, or Supergirl... I would... appreciate knowing if they are here.

[With more annoyance,]
Additionally, is there anywhere I can find real books in this city?

[With more annoyance,]
Additionally, is there anywhere I can find real books in this city?

I'll keep an eye out for physical books. Have you checked your tablet?
[voice]
Checked my tablet...?

Ebooks. Digital books. Or audiobooks. There might be some on there.
no subject
...So much like what I would find in the stores and libraries here, just contained within this tablet instead. At least those ones have some texture to them.
[But still far inferior to an Actual Book. He sighs.]
What is an audiobook?

As for your next question, Petals & Pages carries paper books from various worlds. You'll find it over at the shopping district. You can read the books there as long as you maintain contact with someone.

Is it not enough to simply purchase them?

I don't think they're for sale. But they're definitely worth the read, so I'd recommend giving it a try.
no subject
...I'll keep it in mind. Though I would prefer to find books on this world before reading about others.

And may I say, I am more than happy to hear that I'm not the only one to prefer having a book in hand rather than on the communicator. It's just not the same without pages to turn.

[Oh good, someone gets it.]
This world clearly has a dependence on advanced technology, but I didn't think they would do away with books in favor of these devices as well.

[He may be judging just a tiny bit.]
I suppose I may have no choice but to get accustomed to these "tablets" if I want to access this world's knowledge and literature...

... Dunno if she's the one you mean, but Rin went home a long time ago.
no subject
Although, how exactly did she go home?
no subject
Dunno, she just went. [There was a beat, and a sigh.]
People leave just as suddenly as they appear sometimes. It hasn't been super clear why, like if they just didn't have a great connection with the gods or what. Sometimes they're just gone, sometimes they uh. Get a vanishing sickness? Haven't really heard of anyone getting that for a while though.
no subject
I see... perhaps they were summoned by the whims of yet another world's gods.
[It's a little dry.]
Though I supposed being returned to one's own world is what most would be hoping for.

There's a kid named Vianca with a store
Well it's more like a library
She's got pink hair and she's one of the youngest ones here so she's hard to miss if she's around
Harder to make books when all the real trees are out in the toxic monstery part of the world

Thank you. Do you know anything more about what's outside the city walls?
no subject
I've never been outside the barrier wall but some people did an expedition
Hold on let me grab the files
[If the guy figured out how to do video messages, he probably knows how to open files, right... Anyway, here Cliff goes, sending some...interesting...footage.]
I guess they can't make those suits anymore
