[Voice]
[Despite being voice, it's clear the guy talking knows exactly what information he wants but would much rather leave the actual asking to someone else.]
If anyone has met any youths by the names of Cyan, Rin, or Supergirl... I would... appreciate knowing if they are here.

[With more annoyance,]
Additionally, is there anywhere I can find real books in this city?

[Which seems not ideal, to say the least...]

How much stuff here do you recognize?

Yeah so hazmat is hazardous material aka BAD SHIT
The bubble barrier we're in shields us from the bad environment outside, which got so bad because everyone is robots now?
They got too advanced too fast and the world fell behind to the point of falling apart kinda
So the gods bring us here because we have skin and stuff, and since people have been here, the bubble's gotten bigger and some actual nature appeared. Weird plan is working
Science peeps and some of the ones brought here wanted to see how the rest of the world was doing though, so they made protective suits to check it out, but the bad shit wrecked the suits
I think the suits were made of the same metal that the robot bodies were? Either way, they don't have a lot of it anymore apparently and the mine is closed, which means if you want to see more of the world your best bet is to wait for the bubble to expand again
As far as I know, the bubble is powered by the gods and not something that makes more sense

...So there's been clear evidence of the gods' plan having a positive effect on the city, if not so much the world at large.
[He didn't doubt it was possible since magic stuff like that makes enough sense to him, but it's good to have it confirmed that it's working as intended.]
Which means simply leaving the city without some means to protect oneself against the environment outside is a suicidal option.
[Sigh...]
Honestly... I don't know if the residents of this world were humans before they cast aside their natural bodies, but chasing something akin to immortality with such ignorance... I could see the humans of my world bringing the same fate on themselves.
[Don't mind him, he's just complaining.]

Yep
And the bots get super pissed if you try to go past the bubble apparently
That's people for you
Don't know how they'd learn this without the fuck around and find out option though

I find it difficult to believe they had no notion of the potential consequences of leaving their bodies behind for such misguided reasons. But humans are also adept at only seeing what they want to see, and silencing those who don't fit into that view.
[He's maybe just a little bitter.]
...In any case, thank you for clarifying about the environment outside the walls.

My gf’s family is technically necromancers and I know a witch
That’s more a profession where I’m from though
Like they’re all humans too, I mean
no subject
I am getting the impression that a number of other worlds view it in such a way, yes. If it's truly a profession and nothing more, then I imagine it's not the same. Though I can't imagine humans in control of magic ending well...
no subject
You trying to say there's never been a wizard using magic like a jackass? Because there is zero chance I'm believing that
Bad news, bud: if you look around and can't spot the dumbass, it might be you
no subject
That is not what I said. Don't presume to know anything about me, or the suffering wizards of my world have endured at the whims of humans.
no subject
Just saying there's dickheads and idiots everywhere you go
You don't have to convince me they've been shitty, it's not any of my business and even just on a human on human level there's some really awful shit, but you don't have to insult me every five seconds either
At least wait until I'm a REAL pain in your ass, like everyone else

cloudteenager.jpg. Except he's not yelling, he's just irritated.]You're right, it isn't any of your business, nor would I expect you to understand. I don't intend to befriend anyone here regardless, so if you find what I say distasteful, feel free to never contact me again.

SOMEONE'S cranky about getting kidnapped
no subject
Kidnapped? Hmph... I haven't put it in such unforgiving terms, but you're right, that may as well be what it is. And this time to save another world... I am tired of being chosen to save the world.
no subject
They're so shitty at who they bring in that we're pretty sure they don't actually choose
Half the people don't even like being touched
Robots don't really know what's up either btw
More a Supergirl kind of job?
no subject
That's how it worked in my world as well. The one summoning has no say in who is chosen, and those who are chosen have no say in the matter.
...Put it that way if you like. I'm no hero. I just want to be left alone.
[Which would be much easier if he could leave the city, but that is, apparently, not a viable option.]
no subject
Sometimes shit happens that makes you feel like you have to get close, but of you don't mind feeling like you're going crazy out of your skin you can ignore it
You're putting in the work to get the vibe out there, don't worry
no subject
[He says, instinctively avoiding contact most of the time anyway.]
...I don't know what that means. [You've gone too modern teen speak for him.]
no subject
You're walking around with a sign that says "leave me the fuck alone" even though this is just voice
With some "get off my lawn" and "back in my day"
no subject
Believe me, I would much rather return to my house and be left alone for at least another decade or two. Speaking of which, unless you have anything further of use to add, there's no need to continue this conversation further.
