Video - End of Lasohm/start of Malom, about a day after the breach is resealed
[The city is still in a state of disarray, though the fighting is over. Everyone will surely need to pitch in for some extensive repair work to make Havenwell what it once was. Will is sitting on a somewhat mangled chair on a cafe's patio, disheveled and powdered with stone dust, looking more exhausted and discouraged than most people here have ever seen him--unless, of course, they happened to help him endure the agony of the battle's psychic backlash.
He's doing his best to smile regardless, and holds up a slightly rumpled piece of paper to show the camera; on it are some surprisingly good line art head shots of Akira, Akechi, and Kei done in pen. They may not be exactly artistic, but they're at least faithful to their subject matter; he's even helpfully tagged each with hair and eye colors, since he could only work in monochrome.]
Has anyone seen these three recently? My roommates all vanished during the fighting. I figured they must have had their hands full, and maybe they got hurt and needed to stay with someone, but.....
They aren't answering their tablets, and they're not at any of the temples. I've been searching around town, but I haven't found them yet, and Arche can't pick up any scent trails, either. I'm starting to think maybe they got sick, and..... got worse.
[Anyone who's seen or experienced the strange illness that can grip the newcomers may understand what he's talking about, and why he's so worried--people fading out of existence entirely is a frightening prospect. His voice is quieter now, as he reaches out to end the recording and submit it to the network.]
.....I'm not sure I want to stay in my house anymore.

Re: Voice
Whatever you think is best. I will be here.
[Frankly, everyone and everything is a little worse for the wear at the moment, and he's perfectly content to be sitting at home without the immediate threat of anything trying to attack him.]
Voice -> Action
Jinghuan? Are you okay?
no subject
So he is a bit unfortunately ragged when he answers the door, but not in terrible shape.]
I am fine. [He steps to the side, gesturing into the house.] Come in.
no subject
[So maybe he's a little too quick to worry right now? He's afraid for all his friends, even the ones who can obviously take care of themselves in a fight. He'll follow Jinghuan inside even so, taking a quick look around to check for damage. They'd mostly managed to keep those things out of the residential districts, so it shouldn't be too likely he had a break in, but just in case.....]
no subject
Who wasn't? [He asks with a raised eyebrow. There's a hint of frustration over the whole situation in his tone, but mostly it's conversational, trying to solidify that he really is fine.] Luckily, I am not unskilled with a sword... when I could find one. [And it didn't break.]
no subject
[He does seem to relax a bit though, now that he's able to get a good look at Jinghuan and the house. A little roughed up from the escape attempt, maybe, but nothing he won't be able to recover from with a little rest.]
no subject
[But that at least got him an opportunity to escape to somewhere safer. He gestures toward a table where he's already set out a teapot and a couple of currently empty cups, or something that passes well enough for one. Of course he hasn't found anything quite like what he's used to in this strange place.]
Would you like tea?
no subject
[He supposes it's not surprising. After all, this is a highly advanced, presumably peaceful society. Swords must be antique relics of a bygone era by now, kept more for historical value than anything else. But they're skilled mechanics now, shouldn't that mean they also have good metal workers? Or would blacksmithing and forging things by hand be a lost art?]
Oh--that sounds nice, thank you. You finally got the replicator to cooperate?
