[ the feed starts to show a large, dainty looking man with large white wings peering at the feed before pulling back, satisfied. ]

Greetings. My name is Prince Reyson of the Heron Clan.

As you know, we have trouble lately with the breach. To ensure such a thing does not occur so suddenly, I thought about proposing a part-time perimeter guard of the walls. I think we would be better prepared should anything happen again.

Also, as I know some people were hurt or struggling, you are welcome to see me. I have the power of the galdr which means I can soothe one's spirit, trauma and pain. Should you have need of my abilities, do let me know.

Whenever it was that Reyson returned, the door was still unlocked and Kai was right where he left him. He was just all curled up in a ball on the couch, snoozing. Resting!!]

[ how unusual. kai doing what he's told.

reyson places the bandages on the table, unsure of what to do now. he rather not disturb him. ]

[No worries, friend. He wasn't sleeping deeply enough that the sound of the door hadn't stirred him at all. It was how quiet the rest of the sounds probably were that had him rubbing the back of his hand over his eyes.]

Ib...?

[He blinked up at Reyson.]

--Oh, hey. Welcome back.

[heron]

Mmm. Did you sleep well?

[whenyouneedme]

Guess so.

[He yawned a little, stretching himself out a bit like a cat before he pushed himself up.]

Didn't actually mean to fall asleep.

[heron]

It's fine.

[ reyson points to the bandages. ]

I got some more supplies.

[whenyouneedme]

Ohh, you did. Nice work.

[heron]

Did you have any doubt?

[whenyouneedme]

Not really. You're stubborn enough to find some even if there isn't a ton.

[heron]

I simply prefer to do a proper job, that's all.

[whenyouneedme]

We can safely say you got that goal covered.

[Kai grinned a bit, and promptly proceeded to start tugging his shirt up over his head. Better to just get this done!]

[heron]

[ reyson goes a little pink before he pulls out the bandages. ]

Which areas still hurt?

[whenyouneedme]

I mean, none of 'em really bother me.

[That wasn't the question though and they both know it. Don't chide him just yet, he was giving his arms a studious lookover as he sorted through 'doesn't bother him, but maybe still hurts.' Eventually he motioned towards some of the ones more easily aggravated by his sleeves.]

Those ones, I guess. Think my back's a bit messed too, but I'm pretty sure its just bruises.

[Which were, honestly, all his own fault.]

Then let us address them.

[ reyson pulls out the bandages and starts wrapping them around his arms. his touch is gentle and soft — much like most of reyson, it feels like being brushed against a feather than a person. he's good at this too. not much of a healer, but aware of what kind of care is needed. ]

[It's... a strange sensation. He's really, really not used to any amount of gentleness. Shinji's small, soft touches and Magolor's cozy handholds were strange too, but this was a different level. He felt rough all over in comparison, and for just a moment he was a little self-conscious for it.

Staying quiet, Kai was content to watch this careful, diligent work. He still can't help but think this is being wasted on him, but that thought stayed quiet too.]

There.

[ reyson frowns as he finishes up. ]

You're oddly quiet.

[whenyouneedme]

[He turned his arms a bit, flexing his fingers to see how they fit. It was a job well done, not that this was a surprise. The comment made him look up, raising his brows a little.]

Y'think so?

[heron]

Yes. It's not like you to take it so calmly.

[whenyouneedme]

[The corner of his mouth quirked a little.]

Did you want me to make a ruckus about it?

[heron]

[ reyson huffs! ]

I'm only pointing out that it's unusual!

[whenyouneedme]

[Was it unusual...?]

Ha. Guess it might seem that way.

[heron]

Why not speak your mind?

[whenyouneedme]

[He shrugged.]

S'not like I have a lot to say most of the time.

[He smiled faintly.]

Y'might just be a special case.
