Hi everyone. So, Will is staying with me for a while. He's been really stressed and sad, after the monster attack and...some friends of his getting sick.

So I want to do something to cheer him up; I'm putting together kind of a last minute party. Nothing too fancy...if you want to come over, we can play some games or just talk. I just want to remind Will that we love him and we're still here!

Let me know if you'd like to come...and don't tell Will about it! I want to surprise him.

I'll just have to enjoy it while it lasts, either way. Isn't an ambush by definition fast and unexpected, though? You're not supposed to be able to keep up with them, that's the whole point.

Being unable to keep up with an ambush doesn't earn one the title of Immortal.

[Or the expectations that go along with such a moniker. Unrealistic expectations? Oh yes. But rather than talking about being the Immortal.... he'd actually much rather focus on something more lighthearted. Even if it's embarrassing.]

I think it's noteworthy that you're not in uniform, no matter what the outfit is. But you making it look so good doesn't hurt at all, either.

[Will's fingers trail over his chest and he finds himself drawing in a deeper breath, chest rising to meet those curious fingers without meaning to. It's enough to bring the flush back to his cheeks.]

I chose this because it was practical, not for any aesthetic reasons.

[There's no sense arguing about it. Continuing to argue about it, not when Will's clearly not backing down on this subject. So he just sighs and leans forward, resting his head against Will's shoulder, still hiding the blush.]

[Cor can probably hear him grinning, as Will nuzzles into the top of his head. Just listen to this smug brat and how proud of himself he is.]

[For a moment he simply accepts the nuzzle and grumbles out an exasperated sigh. Then... he realizes something, blinks up at Will and just lets out a half-hearted laugh.]

Maybe it is...

[Dramatic and charming and willing to be playful with him despite how serious he is most of the time. It separates Will from the others, brave enough to tease The Marshal. And the very same applies to Regis, as well.]

[Will just grins wider at the moment of dawning realization, reaching up to fluffthe older man's hair. Good for you, Cor, you cracked the code!]

[He gives Will a playful glare at the ruffle but pulls him closer against his chest, resting his head on the younger man's shoulder. It takes a moment but his brow furrows, thoughtful and curious though Will can't see it. Then he leans in a little more, pressing his face against his boyfriend's neck briefly, a gentle nuzzle. He's very carefully watching for a reaction, however, wondering now that it's been a week if there might still be some residual bruising left there.]

[Will only laughs aloud at the glare, allowing himself to be pulled close without protest. There's no change in his smile by the time Cor looks back up at him, but his breath does hitch audibly as he's nuzzled. Maybe, just maybe, he's still a little sensitive there.....

There's a reason he hasn't worn any of his casual shirts lately, even when all he was doing was watching over Cor's recovery and moving his things into Kiwi's house.]

[That little hiccup in his breathing is so immensely satisfying. It's not something Cor's ever felt before but it makes him hide an outright grin against Will's shoulder for a moment. Then he tugs the smaller man back against his chest so he can just rest his cheek on Will's hair, arms looped around his middle, content to watch people and merely be a seat for Will while he chatters for as long and as often as the younger man will allow him.

He's not nearly the social butterfly that Will is. Somehow, knowing there's still a mark of his on the trainer makes it a little easier to quiet the desire to have a hand on him at all times.]
