[Hello Havenwell! You are, by now, surely no stranger to what a video entry to the network containing one vaguely worried, vaguely upset subject might entail. Here we see Tamaki, seated in the living room at his Havenwell-designated housing, hands occupied by one spoon and one glass containing the tail end of what looks to be a sweet dessert of some kind, and looking just... terribly anxious.]

My roommate, and, uh, my friend, Nagicchi, he hasn't been back in a while. I know he's not the only person who's gone missing lately, and I know he wouldn't just abandon me, so... he might not be coming back, I guess? I don't know if I should still be keeping an eye out for him.

[He frowns, frustrated and feeling a little defeated at the admission. That spoon is moved around to fish out some of the contents of the glass, but he doesn't quite move to take a bite just yet.]

It's really lonely here without him, though. [Okay now he takes that bite, pensively finishing it off before speaking up again.] If anyone else is looking for a roommate right now, I think I could use the company.

Yeah, it seems like a few people up and left around the same time, huh? ['Left' is... maybe not the right word here, exactly.] That... really sucks, though. I don't know what I'd do if my sister had been here and left instead of my groupmate.

[Be devastated, probably? Maybe not the best thing for him to be speculating about right now.]

'M sorry it happened to you, though.

[ he nods slowly. ]

What is a . . . groupmate?

Oh, like, one of the other people in my group. There's seven of us, we sing and dance together.

Interesting. I do not know of many bards and dancers that travel in a troupe.

[ though. to be fair. tellius is having a war and it's not easy to go around promoting the arts. ]

Idol groups are pretty popular, back home. There are still people who have solo careers and stuff, but putting people who sound good together is appealing, too.

[ he shakes his head. ]

It sounds very complex to me. Singing is a way of life. It is innate for me.

It's pretty simple. Like... [He closes his eyes for a second as he ponders over a good way to explain it.]

Like how a guitar can sound good on its own, but a guitar and a keyboard can sound good together in a different way.

I suppose there is truth to that.

Can you not start a new band here?

[That's something he's given maybe half a second of thought to before, but he's still a little surprised at someone else suggesting it.]

I guess there's no reason I couldn't... [He brings a hand up to rub lightly at the back of his neck.] If it's just for fun it's one thing, 'cause I like performing a lot. But I don't know about making a whole new group... I love performing with them, so it'd be totally different from just replacing a guitar or a keyboard, you know?

New connections in making music might stave the loneliness at least.

People don't have to be replacements.

Yeah... [He's probably right about that, Tamaki can't really argue.

He kind of mulls it over for a second, though, before speaking back up.] Did you wanna try singing together?

Me?

I don't have any training.

I didn't either, before I joined everyone.

[So it wouldn't be that weird.]

'Sides, even without training, you're really good.

[ reyson frowns. being good at singing isn't a talent. he has never honed it, never worked at it. singing is like. possessing limbs. it is inherent.

still . . . he didn't want to dismiss out of hand. it was a kind offer and kindness is rare. ]

If you wish it, then I will join you.

Yeah? [He grins a bit - it would have been better to have Reyson agree because he wanted to, rather than just kind of seeming okay with the idea, but Tamaki's not in much of a state to fuss over splitting hairs like that right now.] I think it'd be fun, since your singing voice sounds a lot different than mine.

[ he nods. ]

Perhaps I could learn more.

Well, either I'd need to learn your songs, or you'd need to learn mine.

[Clearly. He gives a small, warm sort of smile at the thought.]

Either way, both of us are probably gonna be doing some kind of learning.

I think it will be easier to learn yours than mine.

Maybe? [He can't really doubt that it could be a challenge either way, but,] I don't think I'd mind learning.

I'll have to figure out some good songs for two people to sing.

[He technically knows a bunch, but having someone else sing the other half of MEZZO"s songs would be weird.]

The ones I know are in the Serenes language. I don't think I know how to translate them properly.

I can sing English lyrics, even if they aren't translated. [Not... really whole songs, and maybe not with proper pronunciation, either??] Learning it for music isn't so bad.

[Like, he'll still do his best to come up with something he already knows, but a language barrier isn't a deal breaker!]
