Has anyone seen these food critters eat anything at all???

Man. I'm pretty sure if I took it anywhere to ask they'd want to take it off my hands for research instead.

Seems like it's its own wheel, but maybe like... one of those hamster balls instead, so it doesn't get stuck under things.

I'm not saying we would bring it in! But it would be nice to give it a proper home! And then we could observe its needs better! Maybe!

Oranges are grown in warm climates, so that's probably on track! We'll definitely figure this out!!

[Kai hummed, reaching in to scoop up the fruit sphere in his palms. It blinked and rocked back and forth a bit before settling in.]

'M thinking its gonna be close to a beetle enclosure, since... yeah. Maybe less sticks though, I don't think they're all that into climbing things. Seems like it'd all be easy enough at this point, now that stuff's growing again.

[ Kyoko quieted some as she watched this soft scene play out. Ah... it really was sweet, the way he handled that weird little creature. ]

Oh... a beetle, right. It is like that. Since you're the beetle expert, I guess I should leave it to you.

You've got it right though, beetles like it warm too. I'll need a better eye to tell me if things look nice.

Your eyes would definitely be the superior ones, though.... I've never had any kind of pet, and the only beetles I've gotten close to were the ones that got put in my shoes.

[There was a flicker of a frown at that- both the teasing and use of beetles were no good!] Well that's a good way to make people not like them.

[His grin was quick to return as he shook his head.]

I've only ever had those teeny crates myself though. No space for plant arrangements in there, so... extra input is good.

But I think I'm ready to see the light now! The shining light of beetles! Even an unusual variant like this. You should hurry and tell Shinji too, so he can help with the plants!
