[ Mina was asleep for the past three days, and her dream was horrible. When she woke up, she was sore and covered in bruises, but that's the least of her worries. After telling the temple guards she could stand up and go back to her place on her own, Mina ventures outside while reaching for her tablet.

the video feed starts and she offers a big smile that she tries really hard to keep. Mina will talk while she's walking, slowly and stumbling ]

I'm awake... I- I don't know what happened, I just... It's all very confusing, everything in this place always is- [ she takes a deep breath, to push her hair off her face, and suddenly she trips and falls. The communicator falls too, but the video feed doesn't stop.

Mina grips to her knee, now bleeding due to her fall ] it hurts- [ she whispers that, and after clings to her leg ] it really hurts... [ the smile isn't there and a sob follows while Mina nuzzles her knee.

And finally, she starts crying, sobbing loudly like a child. Because... well, she is one. ]

[ No mention of the stumbling around and crying from the initial video, huh? Kyoko can take a hint; she won't press. But still, it wouldn't feel right to not check up on Mina after that. ]

I see... that's a relief. Um--it doesn't have to be right now, or even today, if you don't want, but--can I come see you?

[ mina actually nods at that, rubbing her cheek because she is trying really hard not to start crying again ] C-can you come over now?

I just don't wanna be alone. [ she wants to be with her friends. because, in the end, this what heals her ]

[ There's still a lot Kyoko doesn't know about Mina--it's the first time she's ever even seen her upset like this, so she doesn't know how she usually handles it. She might have wanted space, and that would have been okay!

But this, also, is extremely okay!! ]

--Of course! Right now! Um--you said you were at Bakugou's place, right? Just tell me the address and I'll start running!

[ Mina nods softly, rubbing her eyes so she won't start crying again.]

Y-yeah, I will send you the address. [ Mina naturally does so,and this time Bakugou won't even complain. Bakugou dragged her back to his place and she is very glad for it. Right now, she doesn't want to be alone in her house, either]

[ And indeed, she's already running even before she cuts the feed. It won't be long until Kyoko arrives at the appointed doorstep. If Bakugou is the one to answer the door when she knocks, she won't complain either; only hurried polite greetings for the person taking care of her friend. ]

[ Mina waits for the knock, and opens the door right away to her friend. She manages a small smile, before she rubs her eyes trying to hold back tears ] Come in, Bakugou is fine with that. [ she will head to the living room, where she is living right now (well, just for a little while, until she gets back on her feet) ]

S-sorry to ask you to come. Were you busy?

[ There's a quick sigh of relief when the door opens to reveal Mina, but then Kyoko's brow wrinkles with concern again as she looks her friend over. After murmuring a soft excuse me, as she steps in and toes her shoes off, Kyoko shakes her head. ]

No way! I wanted to come! You--[ She hesitates, wondering if Mina even wants to talk about it, but--this much is fine, right? ] --you kinda worried me, you know?

[pinkxeno]

[ mina sits down, bringing her legs to her chest ] Hm... I went home. I guess? I don't understand the whole thing but-

that's where I was the past three days. Sleeping and dreaming about it? [ she shakes her head ] Everything is so confusing.

[daikonrose]

[ Not wanting to tower over Mina, Kyoko sits down beside her, frowning. ]

That kind of thing... I forgot it could happen. [ She's been vaguely aware of it, just from spending so much time around Rawna's temple, but she's pretty sure this is the first time it's happened to someone she knows personally. Gosh... now that she thinks about it, it must be a pretty strange thing to go through. ]

Waking up here... was pretty tough, huh?

[ Mina nods ]

I think what I went through is real, but- [ she looks at her own hand, moving the fingers as if wanting to make sure she is here ] I didn't remember anything about this place.

[daikonrose]

So then... it was like you'd never left home, huh?

[ That must make waking up in Havenwell again even worse, she thinks. But... no, wait. Mina's not like Kyoko; she wasn't upset to be brought here the first time, so why would that be the case now? Kyoko frowns, thoughtful. ]

Are you... homesick, maybe? Or is there something else going on?

[pinkxeno]

[ Mina goes quiet. She doesn't want to worry Kyoko about things from her world... very complicated things that not even Mina fully understands. She was sent to a battlefield without even being told what was going on until she got there. And while Mina did her best, in the end she wasn't as ready as she should have been. ]

... I think I still have a long way to go, when it comes to being a hero. [ she learned that the hard way ] I still freeze up. I still can't do what I should do.

I'm just a kid. [ she truly felt like just a kid ]

[ ... Ah, as expected, Mina doesn't want to talk about what actually happened. And that's fine--that's what Kyoko had sort of assumed from the start, when she thought Mina wouldn't even want to see her. But she did ask Kyoko to come be with her. Even if Kyoko isn't sure what she can say to such heavy problems; it's not like she really knows anything.

There's a pause, just Kyoko looking over at her friend, frowning softly. And then, she reaches over to press a hand to one of Mina's. ]

... For me, that's fine, though--Mina-chan being a kid.

[pinkxeno]

[ it's not that she doesn't want to. It's that she doesn't know how. Her head is a mess, and Midnight-sensei...

Mina looks back at Kyoko's hand, before she closes her eyes, although she doesn't move ]

I can't- I can't be a kid. People will get hurt... people got hurt.

[daikonrose]

[ Not seeing any signs that the touch is wrong, Kyoko keeps her hand right there over Mina's. Even if she can't say anything comforting, she can at least do this much. ]

... Sorry. What it's like to be a hero... is something I can't imagine. It's scary.

[pinkxeno]

[ mina manages a small smile and nods. she knows the girl has no idea. ] I think... I didn't know either. What it takes. [ she does know now ]

... one of my teachers died, during a villain attack... [ mina moves to hold on to kyoko's hand ] I found her...

[daikonrose]

Mina-chan.... [ It's said softly, with feeling, as Kyoko's eyes widen for a moment. ] I'm sorry. I--didn't know.

[pinkxeno]

[ mina shakes her head, a hand moving to rub at her eyes so she won't cry ] I-it's part of... being a hero...

I know that, I should know that, s-so...

I will be okay. [ she has to. ]

[daikonrose]

... Mm. You will, I'm sure of it. You'll be a wonderful hero. [ She says it gently, as she brings her other hand up to cradle Mina's in both of hers. ]

But... right here and right now, there's nothing to battle. So, whatever's in your heart... surely it's okay to feel it, even if only for a little while?

[ Mina looks at Kyoko's hand and then up back at her ]

... I felt... so small. So tiny- like I couldn't do anything, like I was just... a tiny girl... [ mina's eyes fill with tears again ]

I didn't expect the world to be so big and so... [ scary ] painful.

[daikonrose]

[ Kyoko listens, keeping her grip on Mina's hand steady even as the tears come. ]

... It is. [ She doesn't know Mina's world, but Kyoko is sure that's true everywhere, in every universe. ] But you faced it anyway.

[pinkxeno]

[ she looks back at Kyoko, nodding softly. That's right, she did, she faced it. Even though she didn't know how, even though she never expected it to be like that ]

I don't know what I'm supposed to do now...

[daikonrose]

[ Kyoko paused a moment, hesitating. ]

What... do you want to do?

[pinkxeno]

[ mina pauses too, thinking about her answer ]

I still want to help people. [ that's all mina ever wanted ]

[daikonrose]

[ There's another pause, as Kyoko tilts her head. ]

Then... for now, all you have to do is find people to help here, right?
