[Sometime relatively early in the squeaking problem, once it starts getting hard to sleep, Will finally makes his presence known on the network. He's still laying in bed as he flips the video on, hair a fluffy mess but mask firmly in place; the bedhead isn't helped in the slightest by the Flareon cuddled up against his chest, who seems quite intent on sleepily grooming him.]

Hi, everyone! I'm sure my household isn't the only one with a Rattata problem lately. Don't you all think they're getting louder at night?

Anyway, I noticed something! It actually seems quieter when I'm not trying to sleep alone--it's almost like they're avoiding my room when I've got a napping buddy?

[The camera pans as he turns it away from himself and the Flareon. Now, it's showing a Chansey curled up in a blanket nest; a Xatu is brooding over her like a mother bird, head tucked under her wing.]

I don't know, it could be just my imagination. But why not test it out and share our results here, if it's going to be hard to sleep anyway? If anyone wants to try sleeping together, with me or your roommate or whoever else you want, let's hear if you start feeling better!

[Sometimes, this place was awful. Forced sleeping together? While normally he would write it off as ridiculous, this just made him suspect the problem wasn't an accident at all and was another attempt by the local 'gods' to forcefully mash two dolls together.

[The most irritated Will would have ever heard him, it wasn't particularly directed at Will. He just didn't like his stuff being messed with. Not even nibbles on the corner. Situations like, "destroying his stuff" were one of the few times he lost his cool.]

It's all recoverable, but I would prefer to avoid any further damage.

[The Flareon yips happily in return, and for a moment, the camera is blocked by a wall of floof as she attempts to nuzzle Magolor through the screen.]

[D'awwww. Magolor isn't especially attuned to or affected by cuteness that isn't his own, but even so . . . that's reeeeal cute. Maybe it's easier because it's happening through a screen this time. He smiles and waves at the floofy orange one. All of these creatures look like things he easily might have encountered in some other galaxy, really.]

Aren't I supposed to help you taste-test one of these days? Beggars can't be choosers! I'll leave the main course up to you. And I should pass along that Taranza and I both reeeally appreciated your sweets from last time!

The truth is, Will's demeanor is always just kind of like this, and so Magolor decides immediately that Will isn't actually fake-flirting (or real-flirting, what the heckie) anyway and there's no reason to feel awkward. Good thing that worked out inside his own head!]

I hate to say it, but not really. Cooking was always the one thing I outsourced wherever I went! There was no way I could handle the rest of my business and do all the catering too. And I didn't take the recipes with me when I left . . . but maybe I should keep that in mind for next time. Apparently, you never know when you might need them!
