Greetings. My name is Prince Reyson of the Heron Clan.

As you know, we have trouble lately with the breach. To ensure such a thing does not occur so suddenly, I thought about proposing a part-time perimeter guard of the walls. I think we would be better prepared should anything happen again.

Also, as I know some people were hurt or struggling, you are welcome to see me. I have the power of the galdr which means I can soothe one's spirit, trauma and pain. Should you have need of my abilities, do let me know.

Ah . . . no. I'm afraid I do not know what that is.

I am a laguz. I can turn into a bird.

What sort of bird? Tengu are... crows, Rin thinks. Rin hasn't seem them up close though.

Herons. They are large, white birds.

Ooooh, so that's why you're heron clan! Can all your clan do that? [ She sighs ]

It must be so nice to be able to fly.

[ his wings droop slightly. ]

Yes. We all have the ability to fly.

[ shame there's no one left. no one but reyson, leanne and their ill father. ]

[ She spots that ] You look really sad, Prince Reyson. You must miss your home a lot, huh? Rin will bring you flowers!

[ reyson's not the best with children. he flounders a little, trying to find a nugget of tact within him. ]

Rin does too! But that doesn't mean you need to be sad all the time. Prince Reyson sounds like a very nice person! So Rin hopes that you will find things to be happy about here.

[ d . . . debatable. reyson came close to wiping out all humanity so. he's on the fence there. ]

I am not sad all the time. But it is difficult to talk about my home. It burned down long ago.

[ and though leanne and reyson restored it, the forest is no longer the same. there are no herons flying overheard, no song to fill the woods. ]

Oh no! That's so sad. Rin is glad you are safe though. Poor Prince Reyson... has anyone given you a hug?

She beams and comes over to streeeeeetch up and put it carefully on his head ]

If Prince Reyson ever feels sad, you should call Rin! Rin will give you as many hugs as you want.
