Hello,

I hope everyone has been taking care, and continues to do so in the coming weeks.

I have a question some of you may be able to answer: What is it that people tend to or are meant to do when they are together?

Together in the non-platonic sense of the word, that is.

I am trying to understand how it differs from platonic togetherness, as there seems to be a distinct difference. I know little to nothing of such matters, and thus am seeking base knowledge from which to build upon.

If it matters, the context from which I am asking is that of a woman who is together with a man. Or at least one who is currently male in form and identifying as such. So for sake of simplicity we will refer to this as a hetero-normative

togetherness.

I suppose that would not be inaccurate to say.

Okay! Well when my pal the King likes to take the Queen out on dates, they do all kind of things together! Sometimes they stroll in the garden holding hands, or head out into town to grab a bite to eat.

Friends don't always go around holding hands, for starters. That's a special couple thing, I reckon.

Plus, they talk about each other a lot!

that's a broad question, then. there are no hard and fast rules on what counts as romance versus friendship, since every couple is going to be different. one could have a great time with their non-platonic date hanging out in a lab and sharing their mutual passion for science. or one could take that passion to the bedroom and get real freaky under the covers. I've done both, and both were absolutely dates.

instead of going for what people say you're "meant" to do, what do you WANT to do?

for physical? technically the sky's the limit there too. do what you're comfortable with. hold hands, sit on his lap, kiss, REALLY kiss, do the hanky panky with your hands

Generally there is a type of courting before eventual vows or mating.

I take it you are asking of the courting period? I have read exchanging flowers, eating at restaurants and participating in mutually shared hobbies are some of the most popular activities engaged in.

It is not courtship, for courtship implies eventual intent to wed. Nor is there any intent to copulate.

We are simply together. In a non-platonic fashion. We are significant to each other.

I know I am not 'normal'. It is why I have been inquiring about what is, so that perhaps I can gain a basic understanding from which to build malleable stratagems upon.

In that case, it may still be that not much is required. I have heard many tales of men making such poor choices. Though if the desire to mate is not strong, perhaps the same lure is not present.

I would suggest finding his weak spots and exploiting them. There must be something else that draws him.
